The process starts with an assessment of the garment and materials, followed by a redesign consultation and a clear scope before work begins. Because each piece is different, the final result depends on the condition of the fabric, seam allowances, and construction details.

At Alteration Station, every redesign begins with a close look at the fabric, seams, and structure of the piece.
Upcycling can also turn unused fabric into useful accessories or help preserve sentimental garments in a new form. Where available, original thread and trim are matched carefully, but material availability always needs to be confirmed before approval.
Collection includes a final fit check or finish review, so the garment can be examined once more before it leaves the studio. Care and pressing notes are also provided to help you keep the finished piece in good condition.
